East Hampton Historical Society to Host 20th Annual Antiques & Design Show Benefit Celebrated Designer Tom Scheerer Serves as Honorary Chair

(East Hampton, NY … June 2026) East Hampton Historical Society has announced their 20th Annual Antiques & Design Show Benefit, the region’s premier showcase of antiques and mid-century decorative arts for the home and garden, will take place on Saturday, July 11th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, July 12th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual benefit event will kick off with a Preview Cocktail Party on Friday, July 10th from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The event returns to the historic Mulford Farm at 10 James Lane in East Hampton as part of the Historical Society’s continuing celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. A fitting venue as a tribute to East Hampton’s rich heritage, the three-acre property, maintained by the Historical Society, features one of the most intact colonial farmsteads in America. This setting provides a perfect backdrop for the elegant white tents that house the show’s treasures, making for a picturesque time to observe and shop.

“On historic Mulford Farm – where the Antiques & Design Show takes place every year – the East Hampton Historical Society has just completed a comprehensive restoration of the Mulford Farmhouse to depict how it looked in 1776 during the American Revolution. As we celebrate America’s 250th this year during the Antiques & Design Show, visitors can tour the Farmhouse, which is furnished with period artifacts, to learn about East Hampton’s important role in the movement for independence. And at the Show, I’m delighted that dozens of the dealers are featuring antiques and collectibles that help connect us to the founding of our nation,” shares East Hampton Historical Society Executive Director Steve Long.

Throughout the weekend, an impressive lineup of more than 50 antiques and art dealers will showcase vintage decorative pieces for the home and garden, spanning styles from classic to contemporary. Special attention will undoubtedly be given to antiques and collectibles that celebrate America’s Colonial and early American heritage in honor of the semiquincentennial. Attendees can expect to find everything from classic rattan and bamboo furniture to intricate lighting, textiles, and architectural elements. Other highlights include American and European country-decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne pieces, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes, and mirrors. With such a diverse collection, the show promises something for every taste and interest. There are items for seasoned collectors and casual enthusiasts.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Antiques & Design Show has become a highly curated event that attracts the top designers who love supporting the Historical Society and shopping the show,” says Debbie Druker, President of the Historical Society’s Board of Trustees. “The designers – especially the thirty who serve on our Design Committee – purchase tickets to the Preview Party so they won’t miss out on the perfect item they’re seeking for their clients.”

This year, The East Hampton Historical Society is thrilled to have one of the most respected and celebrated names in interior design Tom Scheerer serve as Honorary Chair. Over the past three decades, Scheerer has become renowned for his signature style—a “relaxed modernism,” as he calls it. As Architectural Digest put it, “If a no-nonsense decorator sounds like an oxymoron, Scheerer proves otherwise. Unfussy precision is where his talent reigns.” The New York Times considers Scheerer “perhaps . . . the most expert proponent today” of “the vanishing art of great American design, as pioneered by Van Day Truex, Billy Baldwin and Albert Hadley.” He is the subject of Tom Scheerer Decorates and the author of Tom Scheerer: More Decorating and Tom Scheerer: Still Decorating. His work has been included in such design compendiums as Inspired Design: The 100 Most Important Designers of the Past 100 Years and is regularly featured in Architectural Digest, Town & Country, T Magazine, House Beautiful, and Elle Decor, among many other national and international publications. He is annually named to Elle Decor’s A-List Titans.

“The East Hampton Historical Society Antique Show has been one of the highlights of summer since its inception in 2006. It draws well-deserved attention to the Historical Society’s “crown jewel,” Mulford Farm, a colonial farmstead that provides a charming setting for this convivial and perennially anticipated event. Collectors, interior designers, and “born shoppers” can look forward to the wonderful wares offered by a highly curated mix of long-time favorite dealers and innovative newcomers. Congratulations to the East Hampton Historical Society on the 20th anniversary of this important fundraiser and for its valuable service to our community,” shares Tom Scheerer.

Additionally, the Design Committee features several notable names in design including: Tom Scheerer, Chair, Tim Adams, Stephen Drucker, Helen Feid, John Fondas, Steven Gambrel, Bryan Graybill, Perry Guillot, Victoria Hagan, Ed Hollander, Cathy Kincaid, David Kleinberg, Chris LaGuardia, Cathy Lorenz, Jennifer Mabley & Austin Handler, Christopher Maya, Sam Mitchell, Charlotte Moss, David Netto, Mario Nievera, Alex Papachristidis, Eve Robinson, Scott Sanders, Brian Sawyer, Mary Margaret Trousdale, Suzanne Tucker, Edwina von Gal, Marshall Watson, Nathan Wold & Tom Samet and Ann Wolf.

Tickets to the Preview Cocktail Party start at $275 which includes entry to the show on the 11th and 12th, while show tickets, valid for entry on Saturday or Sunday, begin at $18 in advance and $20 day of.
