Dr. Nicholas Perricone: Harnessing Hydrogen for Health, Healing, and Clean Energy

With a strong interest in science that extends well beyond healthcare, Perricone’s passion has led him to develop a hydrogen energy patent, one of 200 patents held under his Perriquest Defense Research Enterprise. The Perriquest Defense Research Enterprise is his organization, led by a team of scholars holding PhDs who provide technical solutions to address emerging threats facing the American public and military forces. With his newest patent, Perricone’s unique use of hydrogen energy is positioned to become a source for new methods of ground transportation, air transportation, home heating, and factory operation through clean energy. Perricone’s patent centers on his custom approach of pumping electromagnetic energy into hydrogen gas. Once that energy is loaded, the resulting process releases 75 percent more energy than burning hydrogen conventionally would, and roughly four times the energy equivalent of gasoline. The process produces no emissions and is reusable, returning to hydrogen once again after release.
With automobiles, hydrogen can now be pumped directly into the car’s engine, flowing into the cylinder. Perricone’s device pumps energy into the hydrogen and then releases it, in turn moving the pistons that power the vehicle. Looking at the exhaust cycle, pure hydrogen is released rather than expelled through the exhaust, instead traveling into the intake manifold and back into the pistons. No oxidation of hydrogen occurs in this process. Perricone generates enough electrical energy to power the system, allowing only a very small tank of hydrogen gas to run a vehicle. With this new wave of technology, cars could potentially travel nearly 1,000 miles without needing to refuel.
What This Innovation Could Mean at Scale
With this patent, hydrogen factories around the world will be reduced or become unnecessary altogether, because we are cutting usage by 99 percent. We will be reusing the hydrogen and simply creating electromagnetic energy. I am very excited about this, and we have the patent. It is a clean, reusable energy, said Perricone.
