Additional inspiration is found in Vienna’s historic museums and vibrant markets, where centuries of craftsmanship and artistry are preserved and celebrated. These references are translated through CAMILLA’s signature lens of print and embellishment, resulting in designs that feature ornamental florals, portraiture, animalia, and reimagined archival motifs.

“My journey as a designer and artist has always been a pursuit of more: more colour, more story, more world on a page,” says Camilla Franks. “But I arrived differently this time. I knew what I was searching for and what I wanted to leave behind. Elsewhere Palace was born from that feeling. Less noise. More precision. Ornament and air. Softness and structure. Opulence that does not announce itself.”
Her reflections on Austria’s influence reveal a deeper creative shift. “Austria whispers patience. It speaks in proportion. It teaches restraint. From hand-painted palace interiors to museum collections that preserve centuries of craftsmanship, there is an incredible reverence for detail at every turn. Those lessons always find their way back into my prints, my placements, and my silhouettes.”
