The Importance Of Micro-Breaks And How To Use Them

You are likely very familiar with the sense that you are running all day, every day, never getting enough time to stop and take a breath. A lot of people are caught up in this kind of treadmill. Work merges into chores, chores spill over into leisure time… and you never seem to be able to catch up.

Sound like your current reality? If so, fitting in micro-breaks may seem not just challenging but impossible. But don’t dismiss the idea. What you might not realize is that micro-breaks, when used correctly, could actually bump up your productivity. They’ll help you get through your day, and even make the day more enjoyable.

Various studies have found that short breaks can make you more productive, allowing you to focus better and increasing your chances of doing things well the first time around. While it might seem contradictory, sitting down with a steaming mug of something or a short game could actually help you get through your day with more efficiency and less stress.

So, how can you use micro-breaks to your advantage? Let’s check out some top options.

Utilize Short Games

Gaming might not be your go-to for a short activity, but actually, there are lots of great games that can be played in very short chunks of time. Browser games spring to mind, as do casino games; lots of these are designed for you to dip in and out during a short break, rather than playing them for hours.

The great news is that there are lots of options in this category, which should make it possible for you to find the one that works best for you.
