Eataly Aventura is now open, following an elegant, invitation-only preview that welcomed more than 400 guests to Miami’s Aventura Mall on June 11. The evening brought together dignitaries, culinary insiders, and luxury brand partners for a first look at Florida’s newest Italian marketplace – an immersive, multi-sensory experience of food, wine, culture, and community.
From Calvisius caviar bumps to Ferrari Trento toasts, the exclusive preview reflected Eataly’s reputation for delivering world-class hospitality while honoring the artisanal food traditions of Italy. A commissioned mural by Florida-born artist Jason Woodside welcomed guests at the valet entrance, setting a vibrant tone for an evening that celebrated both place and provenance.
An Elevated Culinary Experience
Eataly Aventura spans more than 30,000 square feet and offers two full-service restaurants (La Pizza & La Pasta and Il Pastaio), several quick-service counters, a Lavazza café, a curated wine shop with a Riserva room, and a cooking school that reflects the brand’s “eat, shop, and learn” philosophy.
From freshly stretched mozzarella to house-made pasta shaped in view of diners, the experience is as educational as it is indulgent. Guests can dine on Roman-style pizza, handmade focaccia panini, Italian pastries, and gelato—all while browsing a retail marketplace stocked with bronze-extruded pasta, sauces, DOP cheeses and meats, olive oils, sweets, and seasonal selections such as caviar and panettone.
The evening’s culinary offerings were curated in collaboration with top Italian producers, including Ferrari Trento, Fontanafredda wines, Calvisius caviar, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Grana Padano DOP, and Ferrarini salumi. These partnerships underscored the brand’s deep-rooted commitment to elevating Italian food and wine through both storytelling and taste.
A live string trio added to the sophistication of the event, reinforcing that this opening was not just a launch—it was a cultural moment. For Eataly, food is never transactional. It is emotional, experiential, and layered with heritage.
The evening began with remarks from Harrison Soffer, Principal at Turnberry, who spoke to the significance of bringing Eataly to Aventura Mall.
“What Eataly brings to this community, on top of the food, is the level of service and the education,” said Soffer. “We’re really proud to be bringing them in as partners in Aventura. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re excited to continue building an impressive food and beverage roster in Miami.”
Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America, followed with a reflection on Eataly’s global values and the decision to expand into South Florida.
“This is an important milestone for us,” said Brusò. “We want people to experience the Italian lifestyle—even if they’re not physically in Italy. Aventura is about more than luxury. It’s about culture. That makes it the perfect place for us.”
A Destination for Miami’s Global Luxury Audience
The guest list included civic leaders such as Howard Weinberg, Mayor of the City of Aventura; Cindy Orlinsky, City of Aventura Commissioner; Michael Joseph, Mayor of North Miami Beach; and Omarr Nickerson, Mayor of the Village of El Portal. Their presence affirmed the growing civic and cultural value of experiential retail in Miami, a city that continues to attract international residents and investors.
Eataly’s debut in Aventura marks a natural evolution in Miami’s luxury offerings, bridging lifestyle, design, and fine dining in one curated space. The opening aligns with the brand’s global expansion strategy while addressing local demand for immersive culinary destinations.
To celebrate the opening, Eataly Aventura has launched a 10-day schedule of public events through June 13 and classes scheduled through July 12. From wine tastings and producer showcases to hands-on cooking workshops and evening DJ sets, the calendar reflects the brand’s desire to build community through Italian food and wine.
The Aventura location is only the beginning. A second Florida store, Eataly West Palm Beach, is slated to open at CityPlace in Fall 2025. This expansion into another high-profile retail and lifestyle district demonstrates Eataly’s long-term investment in Florida as both a cultural and economic growth market.
