Unique Finds: Discover the Divine Flavor of Adamas Pisco

Adamas Pisco: Crafting Peru’s “Water of the Gods” with Artisanal Precision

Known as agua de dios, or water of the gods, by locals in Peru, pisco is a type of brandy captivating the US and Europe with its distinct, delightful flavor, not to mention the divine way it makes you feel. Unlike traditional brandies such as Cognac, pisco is distilled from grapes into a high proof spirit, crafted in the winemaking regions of Peru.

Adamas Pisco, a collaborative creation by Michael Meyers and his wife, Therese Corriente, was inspired by their shared passion for working with people they cherish.

Their journey began simply, during a horseback ride at a friend’s hacienda, when their friend offered them a sip of pisco from his saddlebag. The taste was electrifying, sparking their curiosity about pisco’s origins. Although Therese doesn’t usually drink alcohol, she developed a genuine taste for pisco and shares, when you make a product that comes out of your relationship with your friends and a personal passion, it really comes through in whatever you are creating.

The Craft Behind the Bottle

This is no ordinary pisco. Crafted with immense skill and care, the elixir is produced using a secret distilling process that results in what may be the smoothest brandy imaginable. Distilled from fermented Quebranta grape juice using copper stills and clay jars called piscos, the juice rests in a saturation basin for twenty four hours before undergoing a seven day fermentation process, during which the yeast in the grape skins converts sugar into alcohol.

Unlike its brandy counterparts, pisco is neither aged in oak barrels nor diluted with water, which makes for a much purer product, Michael explains. We discovered this was a clear grape based brandy made from specific grapes in a particular region that, like champagne, is geographically controlled, so you can’t just call anything pisco. Our entrepreneurial spirit kicked in, and we decided to create our own brand. We aimed to produce the most authentic drink, so we searched the country until we found a farmer who had been cultivating the land for over 100 years. Over four generations, he has perfected this unique approach to making pisco in the artisanal style.

Design That Reflects the Spirit Within

It would be a disservice not to mention the exquisite bottle design. The packaging features a diamond shaped, illuminated bottle that reflects the multifaceted, precious spirit within, appropriately named, since Adamas means diamond in Latin. Looking to impress at a weekend gathering or dinner party? A bottle of Adamas Pisco will do the trick. It’s truly spectacular.

What sets Adamas apart isn’t just the craftsmanship behind the liquid itself, but how deliberately every detail, from the farmer’s century-old land to the diamond-cut bottle, was chosen to reflect the couple’s own relationship with authenticity and care. That attention to origin and intention runs through the brand the same way it runs through the spirit, turning what began as a spontaneous taste on horseback into a product built entirely around genuine craftsmanship.

Adamas Pisco is versatile enough to create unique, flavorful mixed drinks and cocktails, yet its purity makes it equally enjoyable as a chilled shot, neat, or on the rocks. Michael and Therese remain committed to improving the customer experience and listening closely to market demand, and are excited to announce they are currently developing the world’s first flavored pisco.
