United Hatzalah’s Miami Gala Raises $13 Million in an Unforgettable Night of Music and Giving
United Hatzalah hosted its annual Miami gala in Aventura, welcoming 1,200 supporters from across the globe for an evening dedicated to saving lives in Israel. Guests were treated to a special performance by celebrated classical tenor Andrea Bocelli, who brought his ten year old daughter, Virginia, onto the stage. Virginia sang Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah before continuing to move the audience with a rendition of the classic Somewhere Over the Rainbow. At her suggestion, the guitar Bocelli performed with that evening was auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the charity.
A Community United Around a Shared Mission
What made the evening resonate so deeply was not simply the star power on stage, but the sense of shared purpose that filled the room. United Hatzalah’s work relies entirely on volunteers who respond to emergencies within minutes, often arriving before traditional ambulances can reach the scene, and the Miami gala serves as a reminder that this life saving mission depends on a global community willing to stand behind it. The presence of diplomats, philanthropists, artists, and everyday supporters alike underscored how far reaching that commitment has become.
Altogether, the evening raised $13 million. Guests included Israeli Consul General in Miami Maor Elbaz Starinsky, Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez, Miami based artist Romero Britto, Howard Goldstein, Chair of Israel Bonds, former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, and United Hatzalah Board Members and Chairs of the Hatzalah International Committee Erica and Mark Gerson.
Dolce & Gabbana sponsored the VIP reception, showcasing a collection of Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria featuring unique creations curated especially for United Hatzalah. Leaders Margo and Yoram Cohen, along with Andrea Veronica Bocelli, were honored for their ongoing support of the organization. DJ David Edry kept guests entertained at the after party well into the evening. The gala was co chaired by Tila Falic Levi and Robin Jacobs, with Passion Growers donating an abundance of roses and Jassi & Co Creative crafting the evening’s floral arrangements.
