Under flawless skies on the East End, The Bridge IX delivered yet another unforgettable celebration of automotive heritage, design, and innovation. Presented by Mercedes-Maybach, the by-invitation-only event transformed the historic grounds of the former Bridgehampton Race Circuit into a showcase of over 300 of the world’s most iconic and rarely seen automobiles.
Now in its ninth year, The Bridge has firmly established itself as both a cultural and automotive phenomenon. For 2025, Mercedes-Maybach made its debut as presenting sponsor, unveiling the highly anticipated Mercedes-Maybach SL, the marque’s first open-top roadster, alongside the GLS 600 SUV and S 680 Sedan. A curated lineup of heritage Maybach models added historical depth to the brand’s Hamptons presence, while exclusive test drives from Topping Rose House immersed guests in the full Maybach experience.
Volvo also marked a milestone, celebrating 70 years in the United States with a display that blended heritage and innovation. Visitors admired classics such as the Volvo P1900 Convertible and Amazon, while the all-electric EX90 offered a glimpse into the brand’s future. Reimagined vintage advertisements gave guests a playful look at the company’s enduring design language.
Beyond the automotive icons, the weekend celebrated artistry and culture. Highlights included a thought-provoking panel featuring Julie Mehretu (BMW’s 20th Art Car artist), Mickalene Thomas (creator of the first DART Car), Zoë Barry (co-founder of DART), and Thomas Girst (BMW Global Head of Cultural Engagement). The conversation, moderated by Spring McManus, explored the powerful intersection of motorsports, art, and female leadership, capped by the East Coast debut of BMW Art Car No. 20—a bold statement piece honoring 50 years of BMW’s art-car legacy.
Sunday’s Cars & Coffee at the Bridgehampton Museum, open to the public, welcomed more than 270 cars. Guests strolled the lawns with coffee in hand, sampling bites from Smorgasburg while enjoying live jazz. The weekend concluded with The Bridge at Topping Rose House, a garden gathering presented by Chopard for 500 guests, blending vintage automobiles, seasonal cuisine by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and standout timepieces like the Mille Miglia Classic Chronographs.
From Ferrari 275 GTBs to Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, Koenigsegg hypercars to America’s most storied muscle cars, The Bridge IX delivered a masterfully curated celebration of performance, elegance, and history. Proceeds from the event benefited the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, underscoring the event’s commitment to community alongside culture.
