If you’re visiting Manhattan with friends or family this fall or maybe you’re due for a staycation in the city, consider booking one of the reimagined suites at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, a landmark property boasting 185 guest suites. This year, the property underwent a beautiful renovation of 4 two-bedroom suite collections: the Empire , Gotham, Metropolis, and Tribeca suites.
Designed by award-winning interior architect Bill Rooney and his team Bill Rooney Studio, Inc, standout features to note include full kitchens in the Greenwich and Trinity suites; one-of-a-kind Mid-Century fixtures; neutral but welcoming furnishings and layered lighting to enhance the art and architecture of the spaces. Design enthusiasts will appreciate materials like Viola marble, burlwood, walnut, and brass throughout the renovated spaces that welcome sweeping windows with views of the Oculus and One World Trade. Don’t forget to check out the textured wallcoverings flanked with vintage and local eclectic artwork that portrays the glamour of Tribeca and downtown New York City.
The Bill Rooney Studio sought to embrace the idea of an elegantly appointed Manhattan pied-à-terre, with suites expanded living areas designed with style and comfort. “In creating our new suites, we aimed to capture more than a design aesthetic—we wanted to evoke a feeling of home. Each collection pays homage to the singular soul of downtown, reflecting the refined warmth of a private Tribeca home,” says Igor Morosowski, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.
I had the opportunity to stay in the Tribeca suite which features a grand, relaxing soaking tub, perfect for unwinding after a relaxing day in the city. I started my stay by perusing the MyBar, which had an assortment of local snacks and beverages. The couch in the suite molds quite well to your body contours, while the customizable bed (plush, signature or firm) was made for sleepcations. If you’re looking for accommodations in the heartbeat of Manhattan, the Tribeca-based renovated suite at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is a must-visit.
