Annual Fundraiser Combines Cuban-Inspired Cuisine, Music, and Entertainment to Benefit Mental Health Services and Education
The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County will bring the vibrant spirit of Old Havana to The Beach Club Palm Beach this December as supporters gather for the return of Havana Nights, an evening celebrating culture, community, and philanthropy while raising vital funds for one of Palm Beach County’s longest serving behavioral health organizations.
The annual event continues the tradition established last year while launching the Center’s 2026 to 2027 fundraising season on Wednesday, December 9th, 2026, with co-chairs Jean and Martin Shafiroff and Beth and Dr. Robert Fishel.
An Evening Inspired by Old Havana
Guests will enjoy an immersive experience inspired by 1950s Havana nightclubs, featuring authentic cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, live Latin music, dancing, and specialty experiences that capture the color, energy, and elegance of the era. Throughout the evening, attendees will have opportunities to support the Center’s work through special fundraising activities while enjoying an atmosphere designed to transport guests to the heart of Cuba. From the music to the menu, every detail has been shaped to recreate the glamour of a bygone era, giving the evening a sense of theater as much as celebration, and reminding guests that the night’s festivity is rooted in a far more serious purpose.
A Mission Rooted in Six Decades of Service
Beyond the celebration, the evening supports an essential mission. Since 1961, the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County has provided behavioral health services, counseling, parenting education, substance misuse recovery programs, and family support services to thousands of children, adults, and families throughout the region. Today, the organization operates eight core programs and has served more than one million clients, ensuring that quality mental health care remains accessible regardless of financial circumstances.
Kicking Off a Season of Giving
Havana Nights also marks the beginning of the Center’s signature fundraising season, culminating with the Old Bags Luncheon, one of Palm Beach’s premier philanthropic events, which will take place on Wednesday, February 17th, 2027, and is recognized as being among the area’s leading social and charitable gatherings.
The Center invites community leaders, philanthropists, business executives, and supporters to join an evening where every ticket helps strengthen individuals, families, and children across Palm Beach County while celebrating the warmth, music, and hospitality that have made Havana Nights one of the season’s most anticipated charitable gatherings.
