Rayborn prides himself on establishing relationships with luxury cloth and shirting fabrics and working directly with these mills to get quality fabrics such as Gladson Ltd., Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Scabal, Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Thomas Mason.
His use of lightweight fabrics such as 7 ounce or heavy fabrics with 13 or 14 ounce weight allow him to create wardrobes for different seasons. Rayborn values his knowledge on different fabrics such as cashmere and vicuna, known as one of the most luxurious fabrics in the world. It is the fabric that dictates the price of an outfit and Rayborn’s successful relationships with the mills allow him to have access and immediacy in obtaining some of the most unique fabrics in the industry. Continuously educating himself, Rayborn attends the semiannual Custom Tailors Design Association meetings where all the mills congregate annually to discuss the newest fabrics and newest trends in the industry. In addition, he attends the New York and Chicago Men’s shows.
Understanding style is important to the mission of Dudley Rayborn. “I go into a client’s closet and I might say, ‘What are you wearing? What are you not wearing? Why are you not wearing this?’ I am a firm believer that your wardrobe should be created like an investment, you want to get a return on the money you are spending. A bespoke made suit by Sir Dudley typically start at $1,895, and his signature collections go for $15,000. to $20,000 depending on the fabric and yardage used. This exemplifies that there are no limits to what Rayborn can create for his clients. The average two- or three-piece suit will cost a client roughly $2,000.
Sir Dudley takes the measurements and does the design work and hands that over to his tailors to create a pattern for the bespoke process. However, when he travels for events, he may bring in additional support like his cloth supplier or vendors. From participating in events at Super Bowl, Sports Drafts, Celebrity Golf tournaments to the Steelepoint Yacht Show in Bridgeport, West Palm Beach Yacht Show, to The Palm Event at Maralago in Palm Beach, FL, Sir Dudley is at some of the most prestigious events in the US. Dudley is constantly building new relationships. Working with organizations like Tiger 21 Annual Hamptons Gathering, the 1640 Society Family Office Wealth Forum in The Hamptons, the Angel Ball Gala, Dudly Rayborn is constantly working with foundations and organizations. He will also be showcasing his talents on July 20, 2021 at the Derek Jeter Hall of Fame Golf outing at Hudson National in New York.
