On July 12, 2025, the tony town of Bridgehampton will once again be the gathering ground for the East End’s most passionate philanthropists, cultural luminaries, and conservation-minded elites as the South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO) hosts its 36th Annual Summer Gala Benefit. This year’s theme, Champions of the Wild: A New Generation, signals a shift toward empowering the next wave of environmental stewards—ensuring that the legacy of preservation continues for generations to come.
The elegant affair will take place on the museum’s picturesque grounds, with Honorary Chair Liev Schreiber lending his voice and presence to the evening’s cause. Renowned for his advocacy and artistic gravitas, Schreiber sets the tone for a night that marries glamour with purpose.
Hosting the evening are some of the Hamptons’ most dedicated philanthropists: Erica Noble & Ray Iwanowski, Kim & Greg Lippmann, and Susan & David Rockefeller. Adding an extra spark to the night, Jean Shafiroff, a fixture on the philanthropic circuit and a tireless advocate for numerous causes, will make a special guest appearance.

The honorees reflect SOFO’s commitment to bold, impactful leadership in conservation. Erica Noble & Ray Iwanowski, both SOFO Board Trustee and long-time benefactors, will be recognized for their steadfast support of the museum’s mission. Joshua Fox, Director of the Brady Hunter Foundation, will be celebrated for his cutting-edge work in global wildlife protection. And Jeff Corwin, host of the CBS series “Extraordinary World with Jeff Corwin”, will be honored for his decades-long dedication to environmental education and outreach.
The night begins with a VIP cocktail reception from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., featuring tastings from some of the East End’s most beloved culinary destinations, including Bell & Anchor, The Beacon, East Hampton Grill, Page at 234 Main, and Southampton Social Club, among others. From inventive farm-to-table bites to ocean-inspired delicacies, the offerings are set to reflect the region’s rich bounty.
From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., guests will be treated to a seated dinner, live auction, and dancing under the stars, with catering by the acclaimed Rhubarb Hospitality Collection. Mark Masone Designs will provide enchanting floral installations, while curated beverages will flow from Amagansett Wines & Spirits, Channing Daughters Winery, Michael Cinque, and J.A. Baczewski Monopolowa Gin & Vodka.
SOFO’s Gala is not merely a social highlight of the Hamptons season—it is a powerful vehicle for funding the museum’s year-round educational programs and environmental initiatives. With the help of sponsors and attendees, SOFO continues to educate and inspire families to become thoughtful stewards of the planet.
Sponsorship packages begin at $5,000 and extend to $50,000, with VIP tables for ten ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. Individual VIP tickets are available for $2,000. This event, with media sponsorship from Dan’s Papers, Hamptons Magazine, James Lane Post, and The Sag Harbor Express, promises to be both a celebration of conservation and a sparkling reminder that giving back is always in season.
For the eco-conscious elite and those looking to leave a legacy of impact, SOFO’s 36th Anniversary Gala is this summer’s unmissable invitation.
