East Hampton, NY — A warm June breeze, a glass of Wölffer Estate rosé, and a playful rescue pup in your lap—ARF Hamptons’ debut summer event “Rescues & Rosé” delivered a perfect fusion of heart and elegance at its East Hampton campus.
Hosted by the organization’s Young Professionals Committee, the event brought together the East End’s philanthropic tastemakers for an afternoon of chilled wines, fine bites, and one irresistible cause: animal rescue.
With guests greeted by a full open bar—including selections from Channing Daughters Winery, Kidd Squid Brewing Co., and signature cocktails—“Rescues & Rosé” put a refined twist on the classic Hamptons rosé fête. Culinary highlights included sushi and elevated hors d’oeuvres from Sen, a raw bar, and handcrafted small plates, setting the tone for a sensory-rich summer afternoon.
“Rosé may have been the drink of the day, but it was the tail-wagging guests that truly stole the show,” said one attendee, gesturing to the lineup of adoptable dogs lounging under parasols.
The real stars of the event were ARF’s adoptable cats and dogs, each ready for snuggles, photos, and potential forever homes. The relaxed, luxury-meets-compassion atmosphere made it easy for guests to mingle with both fellow humans and hopeful rescues.
A Community of Compassion
The guest list read like a who’s-who of Hamptons philanthropy: Kim Nichols, Katherine Rayner, Dale Ellen Leff, Danielle Pluthero, Dr. Nicole Leibman, Peter Cook and Alba Jancou, and many more turned out in support. Notably, members of the Young Professionals Committee—Skylar Borucke, Lindsay Berman, Kimberly Dautenhahn, Meghan Bozek, Hana Betts, Daniel Spelman, and Elizabeth Mellgard Nelson—not only helped host but also embodied the next generation of animal welfare advocates.
Live music by Pedrose elevated the sunny afternoon vibe, while Andrew Werner Photography captured picture-perfect moments of rosé-fueled revelry and heartwarming dog cuddles.
