Redefining Business Operations with AI & Automation in Wild-Paced Corporate World

by Allen Brown
in Interviews

Businesses are nothing without professional teams and proper management. The experienced staff can tackle the day-to-day challenges, and its opposite can be uncommon, ruining the whole structure and hierarchy. Thankfully, things don’t escalate to this level when you’re equipped with the right tools and software to accomplish the organizational goals.

The Big Question: Is Managing Operations Difficult in This Modern Era?

Operations are the backbone of any organization. If they’re going smoothly, this indicates healthy growth and stability for the company. Its opposite is unpredictable and may even pose a risk to the overall collapse, no matter what systems are deployed.

For most, the aspects are the same as they seem, but now they’re more advanced, and challenges are now opportunities with the integration of AI and automation. That’s where Salman Shahid, CEO of Noah Technologies and CMO of Devbatch, is making a mark with his vision and expertise. He believes that business operations now demand more framework to flow rather than dependable manual work.

Don’t Take Every Action for Micro Management

Within a corporation, every task matters a lot. From lower to upper management and beyond, each activity either contributes to the company’s growth or wastes precious resources. Among all other resources, one non-recoverable resource is time. Once it’s gone, there’s no way to bring it back, especially in the age of chaos, where every second is priceless.

For managers to rest of the staff, the micro tasks are like termites. At the start, they may seem necessary to pay attention to, but soon they turn into hectic. No matter how hard the administration tries to get rid of them, all they end up with is no time left to work on the aspects that matter the most.

“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Salman Shahid conserves his team’s time on multiple projects in a strategic way. Tasks that take not months but weeks to compile are now being done in hours, keeping the output quality uncompromised and flawless. From data-back activities, e.g., sales payroll, to cross-checking the refunds and beyond, are now automated by Salman Shahid without disturbing the rest of the structure at any phase.

However, these are just glimpses; the potential of automation is spread into tasks like resume screening for HRs, developing chatbots to resolve clients’ queries on the go without even a single minute of human interaction. Sounds win-win? Why not! It’s something to try not to enjoy merely reading here.

Make the Tools Company’s Assistant Not the Way Around

Integration of AI and automating tools in a non-technical organization seems a daunting and exceptional thing, which may be for some. Yet, it doesn’t mean to fall into the depths of technicalities and take too much time on evaluating the pros and cons of each aspect critically.

As said earlier! Micro-management is like helicopter parenting, which is supposed to be good, but in reality, it kills efficiency and becomes an obstacle to the growth of the individual and the overall organization.

Whatever, Salman’s company deploys: new hardware or software. The goal is crystal clear: value for money, compatibility, and room to upscale! If these factors don’t comply, then it will underperform, or the setup is not for him.

He has also deployed multiple tools to assist the marketing team. The purpose is to speed up the process while allowing time to marketers so that they can work more on strategy. He has elaborated on the role of AI in his book on hidden marketing methodologies for CMO’s in the modern age: Your Market is Ripe to Disrupt.

Upgrade, But Strategically

Not all tools and software are meant to be adopted by every organization. If they build it doesn’t mean you have to pay for it. Indeed, do a SWOT analysis of the operational workflow to better understand the strengths, loopholes, and improvements within the existing system.

Following this approach, Salman gains a lot of insights that are assumed to be secret, but in reality, they’re obvious. Salman says,

“It seemed a dry work to execute when managers had to juggle between other important tasks, but from our in-house to & fro experimentations, we’ve found it very beneficial.”

Taking this extensive, ongoing activity as a research task enables all levels of managerial workforce to have a clear view of what’s going on and where the resources are getting allocated. Once determined. Leap and then opt for the new tools and upgrades as now they’re deployed, keeping the end goals aligned, not just to catch the peers’ pre-defined pathways, but to avoid the FOMO state as an organization as well.

Better Forecasting, Not Assumptions

Executives try their best to beat the competitors and set themselves apart in the industry. On & off, they do meetings and spend consecutive days to figure out what works well and what doesn’t. Comprehending reports takes much effort to determine the upcoming plans and align the goals the right way.

Work. Work. Work! And some more work! We mean it. But not anymore for Salman. No matter how smart a decision maker tries to be, if it’s not assisted with the power of Artificial Intelligence tools, there may be some flaws, or if not, the chances of inaccuracy may be higher.

According to Salman, the importance of mind-capitalism is invaluable or even irreplaceable, but only when it’s equipped with the trained tools that make the decision for them so they can refine it.

It is! Only when it’s in a meaningful or organized form to benefit from it the right way. Otherwise, it just puts some extra load on the servers. When the AI is provided with previous sales, cost margins, and useful insights related to revenue. In return, we can expect a response that tells us the upcoming trends that are determined by rationality over emotional bias. As Salman Shahid says:

“In crux, the real winners won’t be those who just use AI, they’ll be the ones who redefine value with it.”

The Bottom Line

Whatever size your organization is, indulging AI and automating operations isn’t a big deal if it’s done the right way. Technical pros can consult and assist their best to revamp the traditional workflow and structure with advanced deployments. Yet, following the ones like Salman who’ve already done and achieved remarkable success is your gateway to success in a short period.
