Frascione Gallery Debuts at Art Miami 2024

Palm Beach & Florence, Italy…November 7, 2024 – Frascione Gallery, established in Florence, Italy in 1893, will make its Art Miami debut during Miami Art Week, running from December 3-8, 2024, at Booth AM325. Renowned for its deep expertise in Old Master works, Frascione Gallery will showcase a thoughtfully curated blend of Modern and Contemporary art alongside pieces inspired by historical European art traditions, underscoring the gallery’s unique capacity to bridge eras and engage collectors from across the art world.

Under the leadership of fourth-generation owner Federico Gandolfi Vannini, Frascione Gallery continues its storied legacy of celebrating timeless art while embracing contemporary perspectives.

Fabio Viale

Marble sculptor Fabio Viale reimagines classical Greco-Roman forms, layering them with contemporary symbols. His Apollo (2023) and Venus (2023) explore identity and symbolism by using tattoos, silver and gold leaf, transforming familiar iconography into reflections on cultural heritage and modern identity. Viale’s work challenges viewers to reconsider historical narratives within today’s cultural framework.

Davide Bramante
Siracusa-born photographer Davide Bramante employs multiple exposure techniques to layer scenes from urban environments worldwide, creating vivid composite cityscapes that explore collective memory and spatial dynamics. Works such as La Bellezza Imprigionata Negli Occhi (2023) and Museo a Cielo Aperto (2014) evoke sensory narratives through complex overlays, providing an arresting view into the convergence of place, time, and thought.

Girolamo Forabosco and Nicola Samorì
A unique dual-piece installation by Italian Old Master Girolamo Forabosco and contemporary artist Nicola Samorì pairs Christ Giving Blessing (c. 1640) with Well of the Prophet (2023/2024), exploring themes of sanctity and material decay. Forabosco’s serene depiction contrasts with Samorì’s visceral intervention on onyx, both works reinforcing the gallery’s commitment to dialogue between historical reverence and modern reinterpretation.
