More than 1,200 travel leaders from the United States, Canada, and Latin America gathered in Miami as over 100 exhibitors showcased the Dominican Republic’s expanding tourism portfolio. The Dominican Republic reinforced its position as one of the most dynamic tourism destinations in the region by hosting its fourth signature Trade Show. Industry professionals from more than 25 U.S. states and key international markets attended, including tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, cruise lines, and online travel platforms.
The country’s Minister of Tourism highlighted the sector’s major economic contribution, with an estimated 15 billion dollars added to GDP, 5.236 billion dollars in net external income, 1.113 billion dollars in tax revenue, and nearly 480,000 jobs supported.
“Trade Show 2026 demonstrated that the Dominican Republic not only leads in visitor arrivals but also in its ability to generate real business opportunities and long-term development across the tourism value chain,” said Minister David Collado.
