Brooklyn, NY – On Saturday, May 4, 2024, Amref Health Africa held its much-anticipated annual ArtBall and accompanying art auction at INDUSTRIA in Brooklyn, NY. The event served as a vibrant nexus of African culture and philanthropy, spotlighting the immense talent emanating from the African continent. Esteemed co-chairs of the event included Carmelo Anthony, along with Spike and Tonya Lewis Lee.
Among the notable guests were luminaries such as Kehinde Wiley, Lindsey Peoples, Earl Nurse, and Storm Ascher, to name a few. The event, hosted by Sahr Ngaujah, featured the presentation of the prestigious Rees Visionary Award to world-renowned artist Kehinde Wiley by Franklin Sirmans.
