Greg Williams Acrisure Net Worth 2026: What the $32B Valuation Means

Quick answer: Greg Williams’s net worth in 2026 has not been publicly disclosed in a way that supports a reliable dollar figure. Acrisure, the company he co-founded and leads, announced a $32 billion valuation in its May 2025 financing. Michigan State University later announced a $401 million commitment from Greg and Dawn Williams. Neither number is Greg Williams’s personal net worth.

Those figures explain why people search for “Greg Williams Acrisure net worth.” They also show the trap in answering too confidently: the public can see the scale of his business and philanthropy, but not the ownership and liabilities needed to value his individual fortune.

Greg Williams net worth: the numbers at a glance

Public figure What it measures Can it establish Greg Williams’s net worth?
$32 billion Acrisure’s valuation in a May 2025 financing No. His individual ownership percentage and personal liabilities are not disclosed.
$2.1 billion New preferred-stock financing announced by Acrisure in May 2025 No. Capital raised for the company is not cash paid to its CEO.
$401 million Greg and Dawn Williams’s combined commitment announced by MSU in December 2025 No. It is a joint commitment with different components, including a $100 million investment.

Our assessment, updated October 29, 2026: no defensible personal net-worth estimate is available from these public disclosures. We have not converted a company valuation into an individual fortune.

Who is Greg Williams at Acrisure?

Williams is Acrisure’s co-founder, chairman and CEO. The company says he co-founded it in 2005. It began in insurance brokerage and now sells a wider range of business and financial services. Acrisure’s leadership profile says it has about $5 billion in annual revenue and has expanded through roughly 1,000 acquisitions. Revenue describes the business’s sales, not Williams’s salary or profit.

His position makes him central to Acrisure’s growth, but a title alone cannot tell us the size or terms of his equity stake. Other founders, employees and outside investors may also hold interests, and different classes of shares can carry different economic rights.

What does Acrisure’s $32 billion valuation tell us?

In a May 20, 2025 announcement, Acrisure said a $2.1 billion capital raise led by Bain Capital valued the company at $32 billion. It described the securities as new convertible senior preferred stock. The announcement also said no existing investor exited in that transaction and BDT & MSD remained its largest minority shareholder through affiliated funds.

That is meaningful evidence of what investors were prepared to pay on the terms of that financing. It is not evidence that Williams owns the entire company, received $2.1 billion personally, or could sell his stake tomorrow for a simple fraction of the headline valuation. Preferred securities, debt, dilution, taxes and the market for a private holding could all affect the value of an individual stake. Without his actual ownership and balance sheet, even a polished-looking personal estimate would be guesswork.

Does the $401 million Michigan State commitment prove he is a billionaire?

No. Michigan State University’s December 2025 announcement describes a joint commitment by Greg and Dawn Williams. It breaks the total into $290 million for athletics, a $100 million investment in an entity to be formed by Spartan Ventures, and $11 million for academic and extracurricular initiatives. The investment component is not the same thing as a charitable gift, and a commitment is not a published inventory of assets already transferred.

The scale is striking. It tells readers something about the couple’s capacity and priorities, but it cannot isolate Greg’s wealth from Dawn’s, establish the sources of funding, or settle whether either person qualifies as a billionaire. Treating the pledge as a calculator for net worth would give a false sense of precision.

So is there a sensible 2026 estimate?

Not one we can defend from the public record reviewed here. To produce a meaningful estimate we would need Williams’s individual fully diluted ownership, the rights attached to his shares, outstanding personal debts and significant assets outside Acrisure. The company’s financing announcement and MSU’s account do not supply those inputs.

For comparison, our Thomas “TJ” Earle net-worth profile explains the same private-company problem in a family-business setting: a business’s size is a useful fact, but it is not one person’s balance sheet. If Acrisure or Williams later discloses enough ownership information to support a calculation, this assessment can be revisited.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Greg Williams of Acrisure worth?

His exact 2026 personal net worth is undisclosed. The $32 billion figure often associated with him is Acrisure’s announced company valuation in 2025, not his net worth.

Is Greg Williams a billionaire?

He may have substantial private-company wealth, but the public sources above do not establish his individual ownership or a verified billionaire classification. We would not label him one solely from Acrisure’s valuation or the Williamses’ MSU commitment.

Did Greg Williams sell Acrisure for $32 billion?

No. Acrisure announced a financing at that valuation in May 2025. It said no existing investor exited in the transaction.

How we checked: We compared Acrisure’s leadership and financing disclosures with Michigan State University’s breakdown of the Williamses’ commitment. We found no disclosed personal ownership percentage or complete asset-and-debt statement, so we do not publish a fabricated dollar estimate.
