The Makeup Show NYC Marks 18 Years with a Spectacular Beauty Experience

Last week, The Makeup Show NYC marked its 18th year of bringing the best in the beauty industry to the Big Apple. The event took place at The Metropolitan Pavilion on April 30th and May 1st, and was one of the most spectacular New York shows to date.

Over 3000 attendees from all over the world enjoyed more than 60 educational sessions on six beauty stages, featuring some of the best artists and educators in the industry. Names like Sandra Saenz, Laurel Charleston, EJ Jamele, Merrell Hollis, Joe Dulude, Suki Tsujimoto, Etzel Eccleston, Luis Casco, Maude Okrah & James Vincent, took to the main stage to share their wisdom on technique, artistry, and business/marketing.

With over 70 of the best brands in the industry in attendance, The Makeup Show NYC provided attendees with access to the latest products while offering education on seminar and demo stages. Brands like Jones Road Beauty by Bobbi Brown, MYKITCO, Alcone Company, Omnia, Pat McGrath Labs, Danessa Myricks Beauty, LimeLife by Alcone, and Esum Cosmetics came together for an awesome weekend.

The Danessa Myricks International Stage was also a highlight of the event, featuring international artists such as Merrell Hollis (USA), James Molloy (England), James Mac (Ireland), Lewina David (Liberia), Anna Novikova (Ukraine), and Danessa Myricks (USA). They each created stunning looks while representing their native countries.

The fourth annual Beauty Brunch and cocktail party provided VIP attendees with an intimate setting to mingle with artists and get excited about the weekend ahead. And for the first time, Pitch Perfect, a speed-dating-style event where new talent in the beauty industry pitched their portfolios to top agencies and brands, took place.

Looking to the future, The Makeup Show heads to Nashville for the Iartist 5.0 Mentorship program, focusing on the artistry concept of transcendence. Following that, The Makeup Show Nashville debuts on June 24th and 25th, bringing the event to one of the top music centers in the country.

The Makeup Show NYC will return in one year on May 5th and 6th, but until then, attendees can look back on a truly spectacular weekend that provided the best in beauty education, products, and networking opportunities.
