The Imagination Gala- Imagining a World that Is Disease Free

On Friday March 3rd the Pancreas Foundation invites all to attend the annual Imagination gala at the Breakers hotel. The gala is a evening imagining a world that is free of disease. Sponsored by Microsalt, the cocktail hour from 6 to 7 pm will feature champagne and will be followed by a live auction and seated dinner.

“Because there is a direct connection between the pancreas and diabetes, making a-low sodium diet particularly important, the National Pancreas Foundation, is pleased to welcome MicroSalt as a sponsor of the gala, and to partner with their ongoing effort to save lives and improve health,” said Sarah Negrin, Director of Development for the Pancreas Foundation. Additional sponsors for the gala include Vranken Pommery and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

A live auction featuring over 11 items and trips will feature grand items like the Pommery Experience, a visit to the Champagne Pommery Estate. Round trip airfare and first-class transportation will transport the winner of this auction item to a magical two-night stay at Le Moulin along with restaurants and cellar tours.

The highlight of the evening will be performances by N’SYNC members Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick and Poison front man, Brett Michaels. An additional meet and greet with the star musicians will happen.

I’m humbled and excited to have been asked to be apart of this year’s National Pancreas Foundation event,” said Fatone.

Also, the Jon Stoll Spotlight Award, in memory of deceased legendary music promoter Jon Stoll, will be awarded to a surprise artist who reflects Stoll’s commitment to making a difference in the community.

The National Pancreas Foundation is the only national non-profit that not only supports the fight against pancreatic cancer but all pancreas diseases including diabetes, pancreatitis, juvenile diabetes, and pediatric pancreatitis. Acute and chronic pancreatitis affects over 500,000 adults and children in the U.S. each year, another 50,000 are stricken with pancreatic cancer. The National Pancreas Foundation advocates for new and better therapies along with providing support and education to not only patients but caregivers and healthcare professionals. 93 cents of every dollar from the evening will go toward funding research and patient programs. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Imagination Gala will benefit the new Pancreas Institute at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center under the University of Miami Health system.

“Being able to raise awareness and enhance education and really get people to understand what patients go through while raising funds to help find a cure and to help support those that are suffering is personally something I am excited about and honored to do. The imagination gala is a whimsical world with a cause,” said Negrin. Tickets for the Imagination Gala can be purchased for $1,250 at PBGALA.givesmart.com or by calling 561.803.5483.
