Selune Open in Bed-Stuy, Offering New Yorkers a Haven for Natural Wine & Oysters

Founded by hospitality veteran Marc Lioussanne and partner Bilen Gaga, Selune serves  French-inspired fare and natural wines in a nearly 100-year-old landmark building in the heart of Bed-Stuy. The stylish 50-seat space took shape over a glass of wine in Paris, where Marc and Bilen envisioned creating a neighborhood-centered restaurant with a curated list of minimal-intervention wines from France, Italy, and the U.S.

Featuring over 120 bottles made without added sulfites or pesticides, Selune’s wine list is deeply personal, each selection meticulously selected by Marc. Wine by the glass ranges in pricing from $12 – $19. A summer standout includes Coeur de Raisin, Pays Nantais, the perfect chilled pour for the season.

A Menu for the Moon and the Sea

Named for the poetic interplay between “salt” (sel) and “moon” (lune) in French, Selune is a playful reflection of Marc and Bilen’s individual time spent in Paris. The food offerings not only nod to casual French bistro fare but also embrace a spirit of community, with a focus on seasonal seafood small plates, charcuterie, and cheeses – perfect bites to share with friends and family.

At the center of the experience is a rotating oyster menu, with selections like Blue Point, Beausoleil, Big Rock, Shigoku, and Kumamoto. Each comes with a trio of housemade accompaniments: ponzu scallion, shallot vinegar, and lemongrass sauce. Even better? They’re just $1 apiece during Happy Hour.

• Snow Crab Salad, served with grapefruit segments and a honey mustard citrus dressing
• Truffle Croque Monsieur, layered with Parisian ham, aged Comté, and decadent truffle sauce on brioche
