The five-star Manhattan hotel is opening their doors to doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who are working to fight COVID-19.
Ty Warner, the chairman of the company that owns the luxury hotel, said in a statement to NBC News, “Many of those working in New York City have to travel long distances to and from their homes after putting in 18-hour days.” Warner added, “They need a place close to work where they can rest and regenerate. I heard Governor Cuomo’s call to action during one of his press conferences, and there was no other option for us but do whatever we could to help.”
The Four Seasons Hotel is located at 57 East 57th Street, which is close to some of New York’s major hospitals, including Bellevue, Weill Cornell Medical Center, NYU Langone and Mt. Sinai.
