On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the illustrious halls of Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City played host to an unforgettable evening as hundreds of supporters and friends of Lenox Hill Neighborhood House convened for the esteemed nonprofit’s annual Spring Gala, themed “Flights of Fancy.” This gala, marking 130 years of the organization’s impactful community service, stood as the nation’s premier tabletop event, aiming to raise critical funds to aid the 16,000 New Yorkers in need supported by Lenox Hill.

The ambiance was nothing short of enchanting as over 40 renowned designers contributed their creative prowess to craft elaborate and imaginative centerpieces, transforming the venue into a breathtaking tableau. The gala honored Board Member Thomas L. Melton while presenting the prestigious Elizabeth Rohatyn Award for Community Service to the New York Health Foundation and Lifespire.

Under the guidance of Honorary Design Chair and Board Member Christopher Spitzmiller, along with Design Chairs Lindsey Coral Harper and Harry Heissmann, the evening unfolded with a symphony of creativity inspired by the “Flights of Fancy” theme. Each designer imbued their tablescape with wonder, weaving together elements of fantasy and sophistication.

Participating designers showcased a diverse range of styles and techniques, including Ahmad AbouZanat Studio, Paris Forino Inc, and Sally Kellogg of Kellogg Estate, among others. From whimsical floral arrangements to avant-garde table settings, every detail contributed to the event’s splendor.

This gala not only served as a celebration of philanthropy and creativity but also as a testament to the unwavering dedication of Lenox Hill Neighborhood House to uplift and empower communities in New York City. Through the collaborative efforts of supporters, designers, and honorees, the event exemplified the transformative impact of collective generosity and vision.
