Jose Andres’ Nubeluz Opens atop the Ritz Carlton Nomad Rooftop with a Splashy Soiree thrown by Paul & Dayssi Kanavos

The founders of Flag Luxury Group, Paul & Dayssi Kanavos, along with daughter Sophia Kanavos, celebrated the opening of Nubeluz, the newest cocktail destination from award-winning Chef Jose Andres, located on the 50th floor of The Ritz Carlton New York, NoMad in the heart of Manhattan at 25 West 28th Street, a project that was seven years in the making and quickly becoming one of NYC’s hottest new hotels. Prior to showcasing Nubeluz, the Kanavos’ hosted a casual “friends & family” gathering with cocktails and small plates from Chef José Andrés at the Hotel’s Bar Café . The Bazaar Restaurant from Chef José Andrés, due to open to the public later this winter, is one of NYC’s most anticipated newcomers

Small plates from celebrated Chef José Andrés were served, with innovative cocktails from José Andrés Group Miguel Lancha, to the delight of guests that included Nicholas & Peter Kanavos, Brendan Fallis, Frederick Eklund, Leana Sindi, Elizabeth Tisch, Renee Rockefeller, Colin & Elizabeth Callender, Jackie Astier, Karl & Gigi Grimstad, Zelika Garcia, Sandra Ripert, Sophie Auster, Janna Bullock, Haluk Sabanci Dincer, Patrick Janelle, Sergio Pardo Lopez, Di Mondo, Keith & Inga Rubenstein, Dana & Douglas Taylor, Kristen Joy Watts, Timo Weiland, Lulu Fanjul, Nina & Kate Runsdorf, Niki Livanos, Constantine Goulandris, Alexandra & Nick Mishaan, and Jonathan Hammond, to name a few.

Flag Luxury Group is the development team behind the project and London based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio was responsible for the design of Nubeluz, a spectacular space located 500 feet in the air on the top of The Ritz Carlton offering unparalleled and panoramic views of New York City’s iconic cityscape with a sumptuous decor that pays homage to the luxe glamour of NYC nightlife with lit onyx table tops, and plush velvet banquettes that face out to the glittering skyline.

“When we first envisioned this property with Rafael Viñoly we knew that the views would be spectacular and we needed to create an equally striking space inside for guests to be fully immersed in the beauty and glamour of New York at night,” said Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, President of Flag Luxury Group, “Nubeluz is truly the crown jewel atop The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad.
