Concerts in Motion Private Salon gathered music enthusiasts and friends at the Upper West Side duplex of Navah Perlman (board member) and Robert Frost for an intimate performance. Founder and Executive Director Jennifer Carnahan shared her inspiration for starting Concerts in Motion Private Salon 14 years ago, aiming to bring the joy of live music to those who couldn’t attend concerts due to social isolation.

Among the guests were board members Rhett Brandon, Shari and Adam Brooks, Roni Jacobson, Debi Korzenik, Monica Rich Kosann, as well as Nora Coblence, Irene Rosner David, Mark Fichandler, Ronnie Fisher, Marilyn and Shelly Fireman, Margaret and Ben Grossman, Sylvia Hemmingway, Alice Lutz, Tara Milne, Caryn Resnick, Kathy Roeder, Jonathan Rondinelli, Lesley Schulhoff, Eileen Solomon, Sara Tayeb-Khalifa, Patricia Underwood and John Moynihan, Nassrin Iromloo Zahedi, and Maggie Zhang with son Tom Liu.

Concerts in Motion (CiM) is a non-profit dedicated to alleviating social isolation by delivering personalized live concerts to New York’s isolated and homebound residents.

As we celebrate a decade of Concerts in Motion Private Salon, we recognize the invaluable role it plays in fostering inclusivity and compassion. In the words of Jennifer Carnahan, it’s a response to the epidemic of social isolation, creating a community that is bound by the threads of melody and empathy. This event is a reminder that the power of music can transcend solitude, creating bonds that resonate long after the final note has been played.
